Jake Mortensen’s new part for Pastel Skateboards is an absolute banger. Whether you're familiar with this hungry up-and-comer or not, expect a powerful, tech-heavy edit packed with style and a timeless track. What else do you need!? Take a look:
From start to finish, Jake delivers a straight-up assault on a wide range of spots, all while letting his control and confidence shine through in every clip. No ledge is safe from this dude. His skating speaks for itself, and this new part proves that he clearly has his foot on the gas.
Aside from Pastel, Jake rides for Sixes and Sevens Skateshop, which is where I met him. And let me just say—the calm, cool energy he has on the board is exactly how he is off the board too. He’s a genuine, thoughtful dude who’s out there ripping for all the right reasons.
It's been rad seeing Jake get the shine he deserves lately. The progression is real and we can't wait to see what he brings to the table the rest of the year.
Rooted in Lake Elsinore, CA., Pastel is an art-driven skateboard company composed of an eclectic group of friends and artists. Together, we’ve built a daily creative practice that allows us to make what we want and make enough to share. With no shortage of imagination, we integrate personal illustrations, textures, and ever-changing pigments into our products.
Props to Jake on the new part—he absolutely killed it—and shoutout to Pastel and Sixes and Sevens for the support. Keep charging, duder! We see you.
