Miles Silvas. Pier 7. Some things just don’t get old.
adidas Skateboarding just dropped a short but sweet edit of Miles putting the new Tekkira Cup to the test at San Francisco’s iconic Pier 7, and his high-level skating paired with the artsy lo-fi filming makes the quick clip feel raw and refined. What else would you expect from Miles?
The Tekkira Cup looks right at home under his feet, and has been proving itself as one of adidas’ most promising new offerings. From what I've seen, it’s quickly becoming a fan favorite, offering that rare mix of modern design and classic functionality—a proper skate shoe for the times. Take a look:
“A new silhouette for skateboarding that combines late ’90s running aesthetics and early aughts court-inspired style, the Tekkira Cup blends cupsole comfort with performance,” adidas mentions on its site. “Created with a suede upper and breathable mesh lining and tongue, the Tekkira Cup offers comes with a Lightmotion EVA heel drop-in for better shock absorption and stabilizing pod for enhanced balance and board flick.”
Miles has been on such a roll these past few years. The dude has always been talented, but it just seems like he's been seriously leveling up every time he steps on his board these days. And if anyone makes the new Tekkira Cup look sick, it's him.
With each new colorway I've seen of the shoe, it sort of gets harder and harder to pass up. Simple, clean, skate-ready—that’s the formula. And it's clearly working.
All the best shops are carrying the Tekkira Cup, and there are a handful of options on the Three Stripes site as well. Cop a pair and give 'em a rip. Your new favorite skate shoe just might be waiting to be discovered.
