The one and only PJ Ladd is in The Nine Club hot seat this week and opens up about everything from his early days getting into skateboarding to some of his groundbreaking video parts, sponsors over the years, meditating, yoga and so much more. PJ has always been a real one and it seems like he's in a good place these days, on and off the board. Settle in and press play.
We hear PJ talk about growing up in Boston and skating outside his dad's auto part shop. Getting on Element around the same time as Bam. Why silence is golden (IYKYK), riding for éS during the good old days (and leaving for DC), almost riding for Girl, why the Colosseum video was named PJ Ladd's Wonderful Horrible Life—and so much more. It's a stacked episode with one of skateboarding's greats.
Hearing the stories about the Plan B reboot and how Kayo wanted to do a company with him and Ryan Gallant was pretty rad, too. But I think the icing on the cake was hearing about all of his lifestyle changes and how he's feeling healthy, doing yoga, meditating and all that these days.
PJ has always been one of my favs, so if the dude is telling stories, I'm all ears. He might be a little under the radar these days, but his video parts will go down as some of the most influential parts ever filmed, and his talent on the board is undeniable. Let this one play in the background and take it all in. Yeah, PJ!
