There's no denying that the powers that be at éS did some archive digging last year, stoking out skateboarders of all ages with a dash of nostalgia and modern updates to some of their most recognized skateboarding shoes.

I know the 'Scheme' made a small comeback back in 2018(ish?) but it's officially back in the lineup and being offered in two options right now, including its latest Navy/Gum colorway. Peep the post and get a closer look below:

"éS footwear was created in 1995 by skateboarders to advance and innovate footwear to keep up with the progression of the sport," éS mentioned in the caption. "The Scheme is one of the more advanced shoes that set the direction for all others to follow. This highly demanded reissue is a mirror of the original with its super comfortable Energy Foam midsole and overall iconic design. For those seeking style on and off the board - the Scheme is for you."

Here are a few key details worth noting about this highly anticipated reissue:

- Custom TPR molded logos

- Breathable mesh on underlays

- Reflective PU highlight detail

- 400NBS rubber outsole

- Die Cut EVA insole

- Energy Foam Midsole

- Deep Flex Grooves

- Maximum tongue and foam padding

- TPR molded eyelets

- 400NBS rubber outsole

Like a ton of classic éS kicks, I had these when I was a kid but honestly, I have no idea how I skated them! Don't get me wrong—they look tough. Give 'em your worst! But if they look this big and puffy now, I can't imagine how they looked back then.

That said, things were different back in the late 90s/early 00s and shoes like this were pretty much the norm. And like I've been saying for a while now, I really believe 2025 is going to be the official comeback year of puffy skate shoes. With offerings like this, it's hard to argue. Hey, I'm here for it.

Look for these and all the other reissues that dropped last year at finer skate shops across the country. Otherwise, hop on the éS site and poke around.
