Calling all skateboarding families! One of Exposure Skate's coolest events, 'Skate Rising' is hitting Poods Park in Encinitas, California next Saturday, December 14th. A variety of pro skaters and Olympians will be offering free skate lessons for girls ages 4-16 from 9-11am, amongst a ton of other fun activities. Fun for all! Get all the details below:

Aside from all the skateboarding, Exposure Skate will also be assembling hygiene kits filled with SunBum supplies to donate to the San Diego Community Resource Center. Safety gear and spare skateboards will be provided for those without, but whether you want to skate or not, stop by for some positive vibes and good times!

We're huge fans and supporters of Exposure Skate and love what they do. It's super inspiring to see what Amelia Brodka and the team has accomplished over the years. Exposure itself is a great event, but Skate Rising is just one of the many other things they do to support skateboarders and the local skate community as a whole.

If you're in or around Encinitas and have a young ripper in the family, be sure to stop by Poods and get rad! We've been to a handful of them over the years and it's so awesome to see the positive impact it has on all involved.

Just FYI—you do have to pre-register if you want to take part in the "Learn-to-Skate" Clinic. It's free! Sign up and get all the details here

Again, I can't say enough good things about the entire Exposure team. What they've created is truly something special, and events like this are just a small example as to why. Stop by and have some next this weekend!

Exposure Skate is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit empowering women, girls and non-binary individuals through skateboarding.
