Like many other skateboarders from my era (and prior), Jeremy Wray was a major part of my childhood. I grew up skateboarding in the late 90s/early 00s, and he was already a major player in the skate game at that time. His legendary water tower gap ollie will forever be one of the gnarliest tricks to ever go down, but that's just one of the many notable moments from his epic career.

Jeremy recently sat down with Tony Hawk and Jason Ellis on the Hawk Vs. Wolf podcast and covered a million topics. Come for the iconic tower gap story, stay for the story of Jeremy stunt doubling for Tony and more! Great episode as always. Press play:

Jeremy is one of those skateboarders who really brought something special to the culture. It's like everything he did was groundbreaking at the time, always going big and skating with an unbelievable amount of power. Safe to say his influence can still be seen and felt to this day.

He's had his fair share of injuries and plenty of ups and downs throughout his career—just like all the greats—but he's always snapped back, which is super admirable. And the fact that he and Tony have such a cool history is just another reason this episode was so awesome. Stories for days!

Whether you're a die-hard Jeremy Wray fan, are familiar with his iconic ollie, or just want to catch up on some classic skateboarding history, this is one episode of Hawk Vs. Wolf any skateboarder can appreciate.

As always, I'm not going to spoil too much. Carve out some time and dive into this epic conversation with some of skateboarding's heaviest hitters.

Thanks for the decades of inspiration, Jeremy! And yeah, that ollie is undeniably one of the heaviest tricks to ever go down in skateboarding. It still holds up today, and will forever, as far as I'm concerned.
