It's 2025 and Mr. Tony Hawk is already out there learning new tricks. You just can't keep this dude down! He's literally been progressing for decades now— decades and decades—and on any given day still gets a wild hair to go and learn something new.

This time around, he hopped on Instagram and added some commentary and a little BTS glimpse at the process. Check the clip below.

"I learned a new trick before all the fiery chaos," Tony wrote on Instagram. "Seems trivial now (and then TBH) but here it is. Pretty sure @sk8tlynwest will figure this one out quickly. Tag me if you can do it, or already have."

He tacked on, "Also: still offering @cameo shoutouts to benefit @wckitchen and their relief efforts. Trying to get through them asap but I appreciate all of you that made the 200+ requests so far."

Say what you want (and honestly, you don't need me to tell you), but the fact that Tony is still learning new tricks today is pretty insane for a few reasons. For one—I can't believe there are even any tricks left to be done that he hasn't landed (or invented) already!

Secondly, his relentless drive to keep pushing the boundaries and learning new tricks is nothing short of inspiring. The motivation Tony possesses—even after decades of groundbreaking progression—is simply unmatched.

And every time he lands a fresh trick and fires off that little smirk, it’s a reminder that the little kid inside him from the Del Mar Skate Ranch never left. That really says something about Tony and skateboarding as a whole, if you ask me.

I'll personally never get tired of seeing Tony skate and at this point, the dude genuinely inspires me at least once a week—on and off the board. Wonder how many other NBDs he has in store for us this year?
