The Mega Ramp is one obstacle in skateboarding that I'll never be able to wrap my head around. From Danny Way's OG build in the early 2000s with DC to Bob Burnquist's mega backyard compound and beyond, we've seen history being made on these insane builds for decades, and the progression is still alive and well as we speak.
A new generation has naturally taken a liking to mega ramp skating and one of those maniacs is Josh Dirksen, who also stays super productive behind the lens all the same. And that's why we're here. Josh just uploaded a heavy raw edit titled, "Mega Ramp 2025 Sessions" featuring some wild clips from a handful of sessions at Bob Burnquist's mega ramp throughout 2025. Hold on tight and trip out. Boom:
The video features: Tom Schaar, Leo Ruiz, Justin Rivera, Beaver Fleming, Heimana Reynolds, Ian Landi, Collin Graham, Dirksen himself, Jeromy Green and Rony Gomes. A solid squad of maniacs who skate this damn thing like it's a mini ramp. From the gap to the giant quarter pipe, the makeshift Euro gap to whatever their wild minds can conjure up, these sessions are not for the faint of heart.
Skateboarding is a million things to a million different people. Some folks slap curbs, others literally fly. It's all dope, obviously, but it's just a trip to think of how far skateboarding has come when you watch stuff like this—let alone how insane it is to realize what's actually possible on this crazy wooden toy we all love so much.
Like watching vert in the late 90s/early 00s (hell, even in 2026), this type of skateboarding will always stop me in my tracks. I can't help but sit, stare and observe. It's terrifying. It's impressive. And it's absolutely epic, to say the least. Seriously though, some of this stuff is impossible to fathom. Why are you still here? Press play and get humbled.
