In celebration of the reissue of the iconic Nike SB P-Rod 1, Paul linked up with Sean Malto, Shane O’Neill, and a heavy lineup of skateboarding's finest to put the kicks to the test—and the edit does not disappoint.
I've said it before, and I'll probably say it again, but it's actually pretty wild to think it’s been two full decades since Paul Rodriguez’s first signature Nike SB dropped. Time really does fly, and the nostalgia has been heavy with this reissue. Anyways, press play and peep these kicks in action:
Also on the session, we see Filipe Mota, Carlos Ribeiro, Guy Mariano—legends and heavy hitters in all directions! This was one helluva session from the outside looking in, but for these professionals, it's just another day at the office.
Aside from the "wear test" or whatever you wanna call it, we tag along with Paul as he visits Power 106 radio station to do some press, as well as a stop at Santo Studio and Jaxxon where he links with Ryan Sheckler. Not a bad day, if you ask me. And it all ends with a proper little boxing/training session. Yep, the dude stays moving.
Curious how this shoe and Paul's partnership initially came about? Tap that post below:
What a time to be alive, huh? P-Rod is decades deep, still inspiring skateboarders across the world to progress and have fun with their homies. One of the best to ever do it. No doubt.
Paul’s had ten signature shoes with Nike SB now, which is pretty impressive in itself. But for a lot of skateboarders out there, that first one still holds a special place. You could argue they were straight up game-changers. I'm stoked that the reissue has been so well received. Here's to a million more years of radness, Paul.
