The new skatepark in Reading, Pennsylvania just opened, so of course, Tom Asta and friends had to be among the first to break it in. At first glance, the park looks incredible, but Tom doesn’t just skate it—he offers some solid insight during the session as well. Check it out:
I can't tell if his friend's commentary is funny or...not, but Asta's fans and followers on YouTube seem to love this duo, so I guess it's neither here nor there. I will give him props on the rock fakie, though! Regardless, seeing Tom testing the waters was rad and even though it's just some classic light work, he's still out there killing it. That switch 180 was dope.
I don't know much about Reading, PA but it sounds like they needed a park like this, so the locals must be stoked. Why not throw a nice, open park in the middle of all that farmland!? Makes sense to me. And while I'm not sure when or if I'll ever make it out there, if you happen to live nearby, you should obviously go check this place out. Looks like there's a little something for everyone to get rad on.
A few of the lines he pieced together were looking good. Tom's skating has always been easy on the eyes and I love that he's just casually killing it out in PA. With a park like this nearby, I'd be doing the same. Thanks for the rundown, Tom! Big ups to the town of Reading, Holistic skate shop and everyone who helped turn this park into a reality.
