If you'd asked me on Saturday if I thought Mt. Bachelor would get another pow day this season, I would have said "heck naw."
But in an unprecedented turn of events, I was wrong. What went from a light sprinkle in town yesterday afternoon turned overnight into 8 inches of fresh snow up at Bachelor.
I woke up this morning to a slew of notifications from my ski friends group chat and thought my eyes must be deceiving me without my glasses. Wasn't it just days ago that we were grilling hot dogs in the parking lot after a day of slushy, sunny, Central Oregon spring skiing?

Things change quickly in the Central Cascades, though, and the mountain did, indeed, receive a big ol' refill of Cascade Concrete.
According to the OpenSnow forecast, on top of the overnight dump on Sunday, Monday would see another 2-4" of snow during the day and potentially another inch Monday night into Tuesday.
On Monday, temperatures at the mountain started in the mid-high 20s and crept quickly into the 40s by mid-morning, making for some dense but deep turns. Things are forecasted to stay a little cooler on Tuesday with a high of 34 degrees.

As we move towards the weekend, it's possible Mt. Bachelor will see more snow, but not more than 1-2" at a time. Temperatures are expected to increase, with Friday's high forecasted to be 51 degrees.
Mt. Bachelor currently still has a base depth of 89". The mountain is open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. daily until May 26 and is running Pine Marten, Little Pine, and Skyliner lifts as well as Summit Express, conditions permitting.
The mountain's snow report also reminds folks that late-season conditions are present (even though it looks more like March up there!) and to watch for hazards that might have melted out and then been reburied by new snow.
