Lindsey Vonn auctioning ski speed suits for charity

Lindsey Vonn is parting ways with some of the most prized possessions from her professional skiing career.

Vonn is auctioning off her iconic ski speed suits for charity. The 35-year-old's annual fundraiser was put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, so instead, she has decided to open up her own closet for charity.

"My jackets, helmets and winning race suits that I never wanted to part ways with will help support young girls and women through our scholarship program for educational and stem programs," Vonn wrote as a caption in an Instagram video.

Among the suits available for auction is her "Captain America" suit, which was made for the U.S. Olympic team in 2017. She's also parting ways with the white and rainbow suit from her 54th World Cup win in 2012 and her U.S. Ski team jacket from 2016-17.

The goal of the auction is to raise $200,000 for the Lindsey Vonn Foundation, which will help provide resources for children.
