Skiing is inherently expensive, but the folks at Snow Partners have announced a new ski pass today, August 18, 2025, that will be a boon for New York City skiers on a budget.

Dubbed the 'Snow Triple Play,' the pass unlocks access to 15 ski areas in the Northeast for less than $200. The first 1,000 passes will sell for $169.99, and the remaining will sell for $199.99. Passes can be purchased starting September 1, 2025.

Snow Partners is the company that owns and operates Mountain Creek and Big Snow American Dream (North America's only indoor ski resort) in New Jersey.

According to a representative from the company, the Snow Triple Play Pass was created to meet a demand for affordable skiing options near New York City. That's why the majority of the passes' partner resorts are in New York, but there are a handful of ski areas in adjacent states, and even Canada, for adventurous skiers to explore.

Who Is The Snow Triple Play Pass for?

The Snow Triple Play Pass is unique in the current ski industry landscape. Other, better-known passes cost 5x and offer access to significantly larger ski resorts, but the Snow Triple Play Pass isn't aiming to compete with the big dogs like Epic and Ikon.

Rather, The Snow Triple Play is for new skiers and snowboarders, or busy city-slickers who can only sneak out to the mountains a handful of times each winter. Prior to the Snow Triple Play Pass, these skiers may have been forced to shell out more than $150 for one day of skiing or riding. Now, they can score three days on snow for less than the cost of one at a big name western ski resort.

In summary, if you're a skier in the New York City metro area who is looking to save some money, or if you're a newish skier who was locked out by expensive lift tickets, the Snow Triple Play Pass could be for you.
