Grand Lake Trailgroomers, Inc. is dedicated to, you guessed it, grooming the trails around Grand Lake, Colorado. The grooming team regularly documents their efforts with popular videos shared on Facebook.

Why are these videos popular, you ask? It's just grooming, right?

This is why: Grooming is the winter version of ASMR. It's strangely satisfying to watch.

Here's proof.

If you're looking for the best part of this five-minute video, tune in around the one-minute mark.

That's where the going gets good—the snowcat operator begins building a snow bridge over a washed-out portion of the road. To do so, they drive forward and backward, skimming several layers of snow to fill in the road gap. Then, they drive right over the top to smooth it all out. Perfection.

According to its tourism website, Grand Lake is the "Snowmobiling Capital of Colorado." The area boasts "300 miles of snowmobiling trails, including 150 miles of groomed trails."

Grand Lake Trailgroomers, Inc., a non-profit, plays an integral part in this local, snowmobiling-focused economy. As noted previously, the non-profit grooms vast swathes of Grand Lake's trail networks.

While the important part of this work is, y'know, making sure the snowmobile trails are consistently groomed, I'm a big fan of watching the snowcats do their thing. Watching a trail get smoothed over scratches an itch I didn't know I had. Maybe it's the same for you.
