Sammy Carlson's 2023 film KAMASE pretty much blew the socks off everyone who watched it. As always, Sammy's effortless style on skis coupled with banger tunes (in this case, A$AP Ferg) and some truly unreal terrain made for an edit we've watched over and over again.
Recently, and much to our dismay, some of Sammy's best films mysteriously disappeared from his YouTube channel. Rest assured, the majority are back (except Resilience, which I'm still waiting for...) including the OG version of KAMASE.
As Sammy's republished and promoted some of his older films, he's also gifted the world a few new nugs, including a brand new editor's cut of KAMASE. You can indulge in the new cut below and keep reading for more. Tap to play.

The new cut features footage from British Columbia that didn't make it into the OG cut of the film, and a new soundtrack by the late, great, Pop Smoke. The OG film has segments in British Columbia, Japan, and Alaska and features skiing from Todd Ligare, Vinzenz Keller, Yu Sasaki, and Yoshiya "Bull" Urata, some of whom make guest appearances in the Editor's cut as well.
If the original KAMASE wasn't already, the new film will definitely be a go-to piece to watch in anticipation of the coming ski season.
Carlson also recently teased a new project he's releasing this fall filmed at BlackOps Valdez with a crazy POV clip. The upcoming piece will celebrate the 20 year anniversary of his career in film projects. Like pretty much all of his other films, it's sure to be insane and we're stoked to see it drop. Carlson hasn't said when exactly he's releasing it, but we're keeping our eyes out.
