What's that Game of Thrones meme everyone quotes? Oh right.

WINTER IS COMINGGGGGGG!!

That's right, Solitude Mountain Resort, Utah has announced their opening day for the Winter 2025/26 ski season. As of now, Solitude is aiming to open on November 14th, 2025.

The mountain will host their annual DJ + Donuts opening party (can you think of a better way to kick off ski season?). Starting at 8 a.m. on the 14th, there will be free donuts and a DJ spinning tracks to celebrate the beginning of the season and keep the vibes high all day long.

The November 14th opening date is still pending conditions, and the mountain hopes that it will be able to open earlier than that, if Mother Nature cooperates.

In previous years, the mountain has also held their 'Link Some Turns' event and opened the Link Chairlift with some terrain park features to let skiers get on snow early. Open terrain will also be conditions dependent, but historically Moonbeam and Link are the first two chairs to open at Solitude.

Season passes via the Ikon Pass as well as the Solitude Midweek Plus Pass and daily lift tickets are now on sale.

Thanks to a few late season mega storms, Solitude stayed open until May 26 this past season. The resort surpassed 400 inches of snow in April, allowing for the extended season.

After a quick break to enjoy Solitude's brand-new bike park trails this summer, Utah skiers only have to wait 99 more days before they can start sliding on snow at Solitude again.
