Stevens Pass, Washington, will operate its Jupiter Express Chair—in the backside area—longer than initially planned until April 13th, per a recent update from the resort.

The lift's operating schedule alteration was spurred by "favorable conditions," Stevens Pass wrote on Instagram.

Southern Cross, another chairlift that provides access to Stevens Pass' backside, will still close on April 7th, alongside the Double Diamond lift.

Stevens Pass noted that the 10-day forecast looks "promising," although "spring conditions can change quickly this time of year, so keep an eye out for operational updates in case we need to make any adjustments." The resort has picked up five inches of snow in the past week.

Stevens Pass is hosting a ski patrol dog meet and greet today, April 6th. The dogs will be at the resort's base area from 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. for a series of planned demonstrations and, hopefully, much-deserved attention from local skiers.

Closing weekend—April 13th and 14th—is rapidly approaching at Stevens Pass, so the time to get those late-season turns in is now.
