What's Inside the New POWDER Newsletter?

The internet is a noisy place. Influencers, TikTok dances, viral trends—these days, the good stuff tends to get lost in the ever-churning algorithmic soup. While we can't deny the allure of an evening spent doom scrolling, cozying up with something more stimulating is preferred. Memes are sugary snacks. An essay or article that makes you think are full-course meals.

For us at POWDER, our version of the good stuff revolves around skiing. Beautiful images. Stories from real skiers. This is our wheelhouse, which is why today, we just launched the fresh Powder To The People newsletter offering that cuts through the din and highlights our favorite work. Less hype, more soul—that's the premise.

This is a quick look at what each section of the newsletter entails. To get it in your inbox every week on Wednesday, click here. As a thank you, we're providing a discount code for our merch store to those who sign up.

The Whiteboard

The Whiteboard is an opportunity to get to know us a little better. Each week will see a different message from our editorial team. The topic is up to our discretion and might include rants, raves, or just a simple story about a really good day on the hill one of us recently enjoyed.

From The Magazine

We love print, but we also hate to see great stories go unread. In From The Magazine, we release short and long reads from our latest print issues in a digital format. Here, you might encounter skiers climbing big walls in El Chalten or a dispatch from one of North America's best independent ski areas.

Too Long, Went Skiing

Who has the time to read the news anymore? We do—mostly because it's our job—but we wouldn't fault you for going skiing instead. Too Long, Went Skiing takes the latest, most interesting POWDER digital reads and puts them in one place. Need a distraction while you wait for ski patrol to finish bombing the upper mountain? This section is for you.

Gear Locker

We're shameless gear nerds. From wild contraptions like electric skis to in-depth reviews of our favorite boots, the Gear Locker is all about the equipment that keeps us smiling in the mountains.

Deep Tracks

POWDER was first released in the early 1970s. Over the decades, the magazine has chronicled the fitful and fantastical evolution of skiing. Deep Tracks brings you digitized copies of our previous historical issues. There's no time like the present, but none of us would be here skiing if it weren't for the trailblazers of yesteryear. Join us on a journey into the past.
