Temperatures are dropping in North America, and while it’s certainly too soon to get your boar tuned, the pre-season video drops are starting to roll in.
Some are educational, some are stoke-inducing, and others are just a preview of what more is coming up for the 2025-2026 season. Here are five early season video drops to watch before the start of this season:
A classic shop edit. A thousand miles, 730 hours on the road, and too many Coke Zeros to count. Newer shop riders Ben Gyulay and Koa Gonet hit California for the first time, then Ryan Sihler joins them before a journey to Mount Hood. Erin Alexander, LJ Henriquez, Tony Szeliga, and many, many more join in on the fun from Mammoth and beyond.
“Pretty safe to say we partied more than we actually snowboarded,” the crew says in the description, but there are still plenty of clips to keep you busy.
TDI is set to release its first film soon, and this video is a 3-and-a-half minute cinematic teaser. Filmed by Luis Medearis, Colden Rand, and Sam Moody, the viewers get hit with terrain park footage from Stubai, side hits in Japan, and the halfpipe at Halo Halo. All this set to the soundtrack of How Much A Dollar Cost by Kendrick Lamar. Erik Leon, Egan Wint, Seb Diaz, David Djite, and so many more riders are in it. Don’t miss out.
As last season came to a close, Burton got Ylfa Runarsdottir, Rob Roethler, Zeb Powell, and Oyvind Kirkhus together for a roadtrip through Norway. Sidecountry booters, wall rides on rock faces, and shirtless pond skims are just some of the highlights. It all lead up to meeting Mikkel Bang at the annual Bang Slalom, which went down despite barely having any snow. We also get the quote of the year from Runarsdottir:
“Now, this is the new school Viking s*it. We got an axe, got some poop, and an Aperol Spritz.”
The 2025-2026 collection is a special one for Capita, as it’s the 25th collection from the brand. After an intro that can only be described as Dune-meets-Star Wars-meets-Bionicle, we get a medley of clips from some of the best: Benny Milam, Jess Perlmutter, Kazu Kokubo, Miles Fallon, Mia Brookes. The list goes on and on.
As Union Bindings celebrates its 20th anniversary, it’s put out a documentary to educate the masses about its history. The video brings in all the heavy hitters: Scott Stevens, Jess Kimura, and Danny Kass are all interviewed for the video. Aaron Draplin, the man behind the legendary logo, was as well, and it’s narrated by Chris Grenier. My favorite part? Seeing all of the Danny Kass pro models throughout the years. We get a little of T-Ricky wisdom in their, too.
“Is there some weird, funky ass s*it in Italy? Yes,” Travis Rice says. “However, the design philosophies that you have here in Italy paired with the forward thinking marketing components in North America, it’s a beautiful combination.”
