Directed by the man himself, this 14-minute edit showcases Travis Rice, a snowboarding icon, and his biggest lines from last winter. In what was his most ambitious season of riding yet, Travis scored the breathtaking 3,700-foot vertical drop of the Velvet Castle in British Columbia, the wild backcountry of Alaska, and the familiar terrain of his home turf in Wyoming.

FUN FACTS

  • Travis self-directed this video part.
  • The footage was filmed during winter 2022/2023 in British Columbia, Alaska, and Wyoming.
  • The ‘Part II’ score was composed by award winning musician, Alberto Bof.
  • Travis had this to say about the Velvet Castle drop in British Columbia, “That was the longest pillow line of my life.”
  • Per Travis, “The inspiration behind this edit is the last song — the ‘Like An Old Dog’ track which is just ‘OLD DOG, EMPTY HEAD’. The ‘Old Dog’ bit speaks to wisdom and experience. The ‘Empty Head’ bit speaks to flow state riding and intuitive route finding. These are the two attributes you need to ride lines like this consistently and safely.”

But the question remains… Does this old dog have any new tricks after 23 seasons of snowboarding? Watch the edit and find out for yourself.
