Celtic have not really signed many players from Scottish Premiership rivals in recent years. But there seems to be one player who has caught the Hoops' attention, thanks to his meteoric rise.
At 18 years of age, Lennon Miller has not only established himself in the Motherwell starting XI but he has also captained the Steelmen on a few occasions.
That has brought him on the radar of not just Celtic, but several other clubs around Europe as well. So, it looks like Miller will be able to pick his next destination, as he looks set to leave Motherwell in the summer.
Italy has emerged as a popular place to progress for Scottish players in recent years. Could Miller end up in the Serie A as well?
According to Football Insider, Keith Wyness said: "I wouldn’t be surprised if he followed the likes of Gilmour and McTominay to Italy.
“There are a few Scottish players who have gone to Serie A and been very successful, they seem to suit that style of play.
“That’s one option which shouldn’t be discounted.
“It shouldn’t be down to Celtic to keep Scottish talent in the country, they’ve got to find the right pathway for themselves."
Two Scottish midfielders who are playing in the Serie A right now are Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour. Both are at Napoli as Antonio Conte's side are just a point off the top of the table, trailing Inter Milan.
They are not the only Scottish players who have tasted success in Italy in recent times either. Lewis Ferguson is currently the captain of Bologna.
Aaron Hickey had left Hearts to join Bologna a few years back, when Celtic were also believed to be interested in signing him. And it is safe to say that things turned out quite well for him as he now finds himself in the Premier League with Brentford and has been linked with a number of top teams around Europe.
So, it is not hard to see why the Serie A might be an attractive destination for a rising Scottish talent like Miller.

The inclusion of a buyback in his contract could prove to be a mistake for Tottenham. They will be powerless to stop the player from leaving if Manchester United decide to come in future. The 22-year-old will look to develop with coaching and experience, and Liverpool will feel that they can come back for him in future when he is good enough to play at the highest level. Although Tottenham will receive a substantial amount of money, keeping the 22-year-old at the club would have been more valuable.
'Absolutely' - Browns Are Considering Surprising Quarterback Move
It's the Browns. When the Cleveland Browns drafted Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders this April, they had a total of five quarterbacks on their roster between their incoming rookies, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and the injured Deshaun Watson. And despite the kind of confusing nature of their stockpiling so many QBs, it sounds like the team could double-down on the the decision by the time the regular season kicks off. According to The Athletic's Zac Jackson, "the Browns absolutely might keep all four quarterbacks" heading into Cleveland's season opener. While also adding, "No, Shedeur Sanders is not going to start Week 1 for the Browns. But he's put a lot of pressure on his coaches and fellow QBs headed into this week — the biggest week of training camp as the Browns head to Philly." Fans reacted to the reporter's update on X: "At this point it's not even a QB room anymore. It's a pitching rotation now," a user said. "One as a starter, One as a backup, One to hold on field goals, And one listed as a wide receiver for tax purposes," another commented. "[Shedeur Sanders] should be developed and shouldn't be thrown out there week 1 but he should be considered to be put over Gabriel and Pickett," a fan pointed out. "While also finally getting meaningful reps with the 1's." "I'm a Shedeur fan who wants Flacco to start with Shedeur at QB2," another person replied. "Sitting behind a veteran QB can be very valuable, and you know he'd be ready if he had to come off the bench. Just my .02." "This isn't unprecedented," another user posted. "The Patriots kept 4 QBs in the 2000 season. Worked out ok for them. Not saying there's a Brady in their QB room. But if they have 4 guys who they think are NFL worthy (even if none are QB1 right now), they can make it work." The Browns have been bitten by the injury bug thus far in camp with Pickett and Gabriel both dealing with ailments this preseason — opening up a window for Shedeur Sanders to earn his way up the depth chart. Sanders played well in Friday night's debut with a 14-of-23 performance for 138 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the way to a 30-10 win over Carolina. But head coach Kevin Stefanski says the team in "evaluation mode" when it comes to their QBs.
Jhoan Duran is showing he's everything the Phillies needed
Despite appearing in just four games for the Philadelphia Phillies, closer Jhoan Duran has already made an impact. Duran slammed the door shut again on Sunday afternoon, notching his fourth save in as many games as he closed out the Phillies' 4-2 victory over the Rangers. He has allowed just one hit over four scoreless innings, striking out three as he has retired 12 of the 13 batters he has faced since he was acquired at the trade deadline. The ninth inning had been a revolving door yet again for the Phillies this season. Closer Jose Alvarado had performed well, posting a 2.70 ERA and a 1.200 WHiP over his 20 innings, but was suspended for 80 games for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Jordan Romano has been inconsistent at best, moving in and out of the closer role as he has posted a 6.64 ERA and a 1.347 WHiP over 39.1 innings entering Monday, striking out 41 batters with 15 walks. Although relievers Orion Kerkering and Matt Strahm have pitched well, the Phillies have been reluctant to hand either the closer role. The Phillies paid handsomely to bring Duran on board. Pitcher Mick Abel and catcher Eduardo Tait are both top-100 prospects and could be building blocks in Minnesota for years to come. Moving Duran could pay long-term dividends for the Twins. Meanwhile, the Phillies have a different goal in mind — winning the third World Series in franchise history. A constant revolving door in the ninth inning has kept that goal out of reach. While it is just a four-game sample size, Duran has been everything that the Phillies could have hoped for in their closer.
