FC Barcelona do not have long left to go before the 2025/26 season officially begins, and they will be keen to make further moves in the transfer market to improve the squad, sooner rather than later, so as to give the new signings time to adapt to Hansi Flick’s team.
On the other hand, the club has been linked with developmental bets like Rayan Bardghji, with Fabrizio Romano confirming Barcelona’s interest in the Swedish talent. It is worth noting that he is the younger brother of recent signing Roony Bardghji.
Now, as per Mundo Deportivo, the 15-year-old Scandinavian talent has already been at Barcelona’s offices earlier this week, during his elder brother’s contract signing. It would have given him the chance to look at what could potentially be his next club.
The teenage Swedish left-winger is described as a “Fast, skillful, both in tight spaces and at top speed, mobile, and unpredictable – a brilliant blend of creative winger and inside forward, much like his idol Eden Hazard.”
One of the positions that the Barcelona first-team squad could do with reinforcements is the left-wing position. The development of Jan Virgili is being monitored, and Rayan Bardghji also has the chance the come in the first-team picture in a few years’ time.
Unlike other clubs, one thing that young talents can be assured of, when they sign for Barcelona is that there is no fear in throwing them into the first team if they show that they have what it takes to play there, despite their age.
Lamine Yamal, for example, was Rayan Bardghji’s age when he made his first-team debut under Xavi Hernandez, and at 18, he is now considered a Ballon d’Or candidate and one of the best in his position in the entire world.
Having already been at Barcelona, coupled with the fact that his brother is also at the club, Rayan could choose to continue his career in La Masia. Should the club pull it off, it would be an excellent coup, and let’s wait and see how it plays out.
