Chelsea are being linked with yet another attacker ahead of an important summer for the Blues as they look to strengthen.
Chelsea are very short of attackers right now. The Blues were forced to change formation in yesterday’s game to compensate for the lack of options.
Of course the likes of Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho and Pedro Neto will return – but is anyone really convinced that they’re actually good enough, long term?
Geovany Quenda will arrive in the summer, but he still looks very raw. The Blues want proven quality, and they’re now being liked to a player who is doing well in Serie A.
Jonathan Rowe has been doing well at Bologna, and while the Premier League is a big step up for him, Chelsea are apparently interested. SportWitness claim that we’ve already scouted the Norwich academy graduate.
A price of £38m is mentioned, and that would seem decent value for a 23 year old who is showing plenty of potential.
Given the number of wingers we already have on our books, it’s hard to imagine us buying Rowe without selling someone first. And it’s hard to imagine anyone buying him given his form.
Andrey Santos started in place of Romeo Lavia yesterday and largely did well – but one pundit pointed to a big mistake he had made.
Calum McFarlane thinks the Blues could have won the game, and he probably has a point.
