€46m bid submitted for Crysencio Summerville

Crysencio Summerville appears to be one of the hottest wingers on the transfer market this summer, following an excellent 2026 World Cup.

While the Netherlands crashed out of the tournament in the Round of 32, Summerville shone on a personal level. The West Ham United winger delivered four goal involvements in as many games.

One club reportedly in the mix to sign Summerville this summer is Manchester United. Michael Carrick’s Red Devils could look to pursue their interest in the 24-year-old – but for now they are behind in the race.

Italian Serie A side AS Roma have recently made contact to bring in the United target, and have now reportedly submitted a bid to West Ham.

According to Sky Sports reporter Gianluca Di Marzio on X, Roma have tabled a €46m (£39.1m) bid to the Hammers to sign Crysencio Summerville.

However, Manchester United will be hoping one of their former players brings the talks to a halt. The Serie A club have reportedly also made a bid for former Red Devil Alejandro Garnacho.

United would receive 10% of any unlikely profit on a deal if AS Roma sign Garnacho, as well as being handed a boost in their efforts to sign Crysencio Summerville.

The bid made by AS Roma sends an almighty message – the Giallorossi are determined to land an attacking target this summer.

A further tweet from Di Marzio reports that Summerville has given the green light to a move to Roma. All that appears to stand in the way of a move now is an agreement between AS Roma and West Ham United.

The Hammers haven’t weakened their transfer stance following relegation from the Premier League, and remain deadset on maximising their income from any deal that sees Summerville leave.

Marcus Rashford not appearing close to an exit from Manchester United could be what is stopping the Red Devils from making their approach, which feels like the story of their summer now, after Manuel Ugarte’s injury also hampered their transfer efforts.
