With the new season approaching, formalities are having to be taken to ensure Manchester United are prepared properly for playing.

In June, United’s fixtures were announced with that revealing that Michael Carrick’s team would play Hull City away at MKM Stadium on Saturday August 22nd in their first Premier League game.

Hull have since sold all of their tickets for the game whilst subsequently also breaking their transfer record through signing goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis.

Away from the men’s first-team, major changes are also taking place on the women’s team too.

Earlier this week, following the departure of Marc Skinner after the conclusion of last season, Manchester United officially announced that Eva Olid would the new women’s team manager.

Olid led Hearts Women to the Scottish Women’s Premier League title last season but left the side following that.

Now, ahead of her first season in charge of Manchester United Women, the squad’s numbers have been revealed with four changes taking place.

Announcing the decision on the club’s official website, United have said that Celin Bizet Donnum will wear the number 11 shirt for the upcoming campaign, a jersey previously worn by Leah Galton who left the club this summer.

The club have also said that Julia Zigiotti has inherited the number 15 shirt, which was worn by Bizet Donnum last season, the jersey number she has worn with Sweden on international level previously.

Jess Simpson and Emma Watson, meanwhile, have also had number changes with the club stating that Simpson will wear the number 26 jersey whilst Watson will sport the number 21 shirt.
