Aaron Wan-Bissaka targeted by Champions League club

Aaron Wan-Bissaka left Manchester United in 2024 after five years at Old Trafford as he made the move to West Ham United.

In his time at West Ham, the DR Congo international has made 65 appearances, scoring twice.

The Hammers have faced an uncertain transfer window, however, following relegation from the Premier League on the final day of the 2025/26 season.

Mateus Fernandes has already left the club, making the move to Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the new season, whilst others have also been linked with transfers away.

Wan-Bissaka’s future, too, is uncertain even with the season already underway as several clubs above look towards the full-back.

The West Ham Way have now revealed more details about the DR Congo international’s future as they spoke to source ExWHUEmployee.

Speaking to ExWHUEmployee on their website, the source said: “One player who is looking increasingly likely to leave is Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

“He did not turn up for the photoshoot, and it seems both Everton and Aston Villa, as well as some other European teams, could be looking at his signature.”

Aston Villa won the Europa League last season, meaning they will be playing Champions League football in the upcoming season alongside Manchester United.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka still has five years left on his deal at West Ham United meaning a substantial fee may be required if Villa are going to sign him this summer.

The Villans have already signed former Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, Joao Gomes, and Johan Manzambi during this summer’s transfer window.

With Everton and several European sides interested in a move for Wan-Bissaka, completing the signing may be difficult, however.

Focus will now switch towards Aston Villa to see if the club makes the first move in an attempt to make the signing.
