Emerson Royal has decided to switch the whites of Tottenham with the black & red of AC Milan. The most famous ‘Here We Go’ has been already reported by Fabrizio Romano. The deal has been finalized and sealed up as Emerson is now set for a new adventure in Italy.
Emerson Royal will soon arrive in Italy, and the preparations for the medicals have already begun. This is the third signing of AC Milan in this transfer window and possibly the last one too. Alvaro Morata and Strahinja Pavlovic successfully made their way to the club before the Emerson news a few days ago.
The saga was on for Emerson Royal as Tottenham wanted to release him and secure a few funds to make other signings. The talks sparked up in the initial phase of June and the outcome has now finally arrived. Royal didn’t want to leave Europe and henceforth has arrived at this decision.
Emerson Royal had a difficult 2023-2024 season with Tottenham. He made just eleven appearances throughout the whole season in all competitions. Despite being out of form and lacking game time, Emerson Royal had received offers from two elite clubs: AC Milan and Al Nassr. Being just 25 years old, there is a lot more to prove while in Europe, and leaving wasn’t considered an option. Emerson has the experience to play in the toughest league in the world, the Premier League. This proves and justifies that he knows what it takes to play the sport. So, a transfer to a great squad of AC Milan is understandable and considered a wise choice.
His role as a left-back in the Milan side will be significant. He will have many responsibilities, as he will be expected to be available both attackingly and defensively. The odds are high for a player like him to be successful.
The Rossoneri will pay around €15m plus €2m in add-ons for the 25-year-old and his flights and medicals are now being booked. He is expected to fully complete his move within the next 48-72 hours.
The signing of the other two stars Alvaro Morata and Strahinja Pavlovic has also proved to be heavy on AC Milan’s wallet. A total cost of 40 million euros has been bear to sign up these players. AC Milan are now possibly closed for any further signings. As they begin a new journey this year it will be interesting to see if these signed players come out to be impactful or not, the results await.
