AC Milan right-back Kyle Walker will miss the Coppa Italia semi-final return leg against Inter Milan later this month.
Per the club’s official statement via FCInterNews, Walker underwent elbow surgery yesterday.
Therefore, he will not be at Sergio Conceicao’s disposal for the second leg of this evenly-poised tie.
Indeed, the San Siro rivals shared the spoils in a dramatic 1-1 first-leg draw last week.
Walker was on the field all 90 minutes.
Walker, who joined Milan on loan from Manchester City in January, fractured his elbow in training today.
As such, he immediately underwent surgery to fix the fracture and will watch the next Derby della Madonnina from afar.
Though he is still technically City’s player, Milan have an obligation to purchase him permanently in the summer.
Meanwhile, Inter could welcome Denzel Dumfries back to the squad in time for the rematch.
Furthermore, Mehdi Taremi , who missed the first leg, will be at Simone Inzaghi’s disposal.
