Adam Idah isn’t exactly enjoying the best of times at the moment due to his patchy form which is making his £9 million price tag look massively over inflated to say the least…

And it now leading to the supporters patience wearing dangerously close to thin when it comes to the Irish international’s place in the Celtic starting XI. There’s been calls for Idah to be dropped in favour of either Johnny Kenny or even switching Daizen Maeda through the middle, but I can’t see that happening any time soon, and especially not for tonight’s visit of Falkirk.

We have a massive game pending next Wednesday again Kairat with a place in the UEFA Champions League group stages at stake, and with no new signings on the horizon Brendan will be giving all the chances he can to the man he persuaded the club to sign.

Idah and Rodgers are both perhaps suffering from such an extravagant sum being paid to Norwich City but neither set the fee and the negotiations were conducted by the Celtic Board who incidentally perhaps should have considered having an option to buy in the initial loan deal when Idahs transfer valuation was just £3m.

Whilst Adam isn’t hitting the heights expected of him so far this season, I can understand Brendan continuing to perceive with the former Norwich man as all it takes is just one goal and a good performance to kickstart a run of form for the striker, something we all know he is fully capable of.

Hopefully he does just that tonight against Falkirk meaning we can all head into the play off clash with a little bit more confidence and optimism at the attacking end of the pitch.

If on the other hand he fails to spark tonight then the manager may have to look at his options for the vital match on Wednesday night against Kairat where Celtic need goals. So tonight is massive for Adam Idah, lets make sure he gets our full support to help kickstart his season.
