Manchester United have seen a whole host of new faces arrive at the club over the last month, with some being familiar and some completely new.

Naturally the biggest change has been the sacking of Ruben Amorim and his coaching staff, seeing Michael Carrick return to his old club.

Taking on the role of caretaker manager, Carrick has brought in Steve Holland, Jonathan Woodgate and Jonny Evans to his coaching staff as new faces, with Travis Binnion stepping up from the Under-21s side.

However, these aren’t the only new appointments, with Adam Tomlinson appointed by Manchester United as the club’s new communications manager on Monday.

Announcing the news, Football Business Inside have confirmed: “Adam Tomlinson has started a new position as Football Communications Manager at Manchester United.”

The announcement continued: “He joins from Hibernian FC, where he most recently served as Communications Director after progressing through several communications roles.

“Earlier in his career he held media and content positions at Huddersfield Town FC.”

Tomlinson took to LinkedIn himself, officially confirming the news, receiving responses of support and congratulations for his new role.

It was initially reported that he’d be joining The Red Devils back in November when the former Hibernian Communications Director posted a heartfelt farewell on LinkedIn to mark the end of his time at the Scottish side.

Tomlinson announced: “After four and a half years at Hibernian FC, I will be leaving the club in January.”

He continued: “I have absolutely loved my time at Hibs, and in Scotland, and grown so much both personally and professionally

“I am grateful for the relationships I’ve built with media personnel across the globe, and to have worked with so many talented colleagues both on the sporting and business side.

“I’d like to personally thank Ian Gordon and the Gordon family for their trust and support, and the responsibility they gave me. They deserve every success that comes their way.

“I’m proud of what I, and the media team, have achieved over the last few years, winning the Scottish Football Writers’ Association Media Relations Award, transforming the club digitally, and seeing Hibs’ Communications & Content team recognised as one of the best in the UK.

“For me now, it’s time for a new challenge. I’m excited for the next chapter in my career and look forward to sharing the news soon.”

Now, the secret is well and truly out of the bag as Adam Tomlinson is already settling in at Old Trafford.
