Marcus Thuram and Yann Sommer returned to their best as Inter Milan claimed a crucial 2-0 away win over Ajax in their opening Champions League game.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the French star delivered the best response to recent controversy.

Marcus Thuram came under fire after cameras caught him laughing during Inter’s 4-3 defeat at Juventus last weekend.

However, the 28-year-old silenced his detractors with a match-winning performance in Amsterdam.

Indeed, he netted a brace to inspire Inter to a comfortable win over Ajax.
