Manchester United are set for yet another change in management as Ruben Amorim was sacked as manager this morning.

The former Sporting CP boss becomes the sixth permanent United manager since Sir Alex Ferguson, continuing their period of instability.

In the interim of the seventh permanent manager being appointed, a caretaker manager is due to be selected to see out the rest of the season.

Whilst it’s unsure who this is set to be at this time, already the world is reacting to Amorim’s dismissal.

Reports in Portugal have commented about how the dream appointment turned into a nightmare for the former Sporting boss.

Now, Manchester Evening News have reported that former Red Devil Alejandro Garnacho has responded to the news of his former manager being sacked.

Garnacho’s time at Old Trafford came to an end under Amorim, as the pair experienced a public falling out following the Europa League final last season.

United lost the final to Tottenham Hotspur, seeing them fall out of European competitions thanks to a 1-0 defeat.

However, following the match, Garnacho held an interview, openly questioning Amorim’s decision to leave him out of the starting line-up.

As such, Alejandro Garnacho found himself on the “bomb squad” and was ultimately sold to Chelsea with no love lost between the pair.

Unsurprisingly, Garnacho has responded to the news by liking Fabrizio Romano’s initial announcement of the news of Amorim’s sacking.

Whilst it’s a small acknowledgement, it speaks volumes to the rift between the pair, which saw the United academy graduate get sold.

Amorim’s time at Old Trafford wasn’t a positive experience for the academy graduates, with Garnacho sold, Marcus Rashford on the brink of departure, being out on loan, and Kobbie Mainoo wanting an exit.

However, the future for Mainoo at least could be very different now, with Darren Fletcher set to take the reins of the next game against Burnley.
