Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri met UEFA Pro course participants, including Cesc Fabregas, at Coverciano this morning: ‘You have to be good at helping players express themselves to the best of their abilities,’ the Tuscan said.

New Milan coach Allegri returned to Coverciano this morning to meet UEFA Pro course participants, including Como boss Fabregas, new Cagliari coach Fabio Pisacane, Guido Pagliuca, recently hired by Empoli, and ex-Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik.

What Allegri told UEFA Pro course participants

“I didn’t come here to teach you something, but to share my professional experiences,” Allegri said as quoted by the FIGC.

“You have to be good at helping players express themselves to the best of their abilities.”

UEFA Pro ‘Master’ course represents the highest level of training for a coach. Those who pass the final exam after the summer break will formally receive their badges, allowing them to coach any team in any competition.

Allegri has won the Serie A title six times as a coach, once at Milan and the other five times at Juventus.

He has now returned to San Siro to replace Sergio Conceiçao, signing a two-year contract.

Allegri’s Milan will make their 2025-26 Serie A debut on the weekend of August 24, hosting newly promoted side Cremonese at San Siro.
