Alex Sandro’s trophy-laden career at Juventus is nearing its end, with the defender’s contract running out in a few months. Extension talks had hit a standstill long ago, and it seems like the Brazilian will wave goodbye to Turin this summer.

My family and I know that a goodbye will come,” Sandro said in a recent interview, as quoted by Gianluca Di Marzio. “It’s so many stories, it’s so many moments, it’s hard to imagine my life without Juve. When I talk about Juventus, I will always have my eyes shining.

I had a great time. I will always have Juve in my heart.

Sandro joined Juventus from Porto in 2015. During his nine-year stint at the Allianz Stadium, he has won ten major trophies, forming part of a dominant generation. In his first five seasons at the club, the 33-year-old lifted five Serie A titles and helped the club reach the Champions League final in 2017.

As one of the club’s longest-serving stalwarts, Sandro has made over 320 competitive appearances for Juventus. However, recurring injury problems have seen him register just 14 Serie A outings this season, tumbling down the pecking order under Massimiliano Allegri.

Sandro’s likely departure has prompted Juventus to cast a wide net in pursuit of his long-term replacement. Porto left-back Wendell has emerged on the Italians’ radar. But the Brazilian is already 30, meaning Allegri’s side will probably have to widen their search in the summer.

Tottenham star agrees personal terms with Bundesliga club, waiting for Spurs’ green signal

Tottenham youngster Luka Vuskovic has agreed personal terms with newly-promoted Bundesliga club Hamburger SV ahead of potential loan Luka Vuskovic has been impressing the fans since officially arriving at Tottenham Hotspur earlier this summer. After Spurs agreed a deal with Hajduk Split for the defender in September 2023, Luka Vuskovic spent 18 months on loan at Radomiak Radom and KVC Westerlo before arriving at White Hart Lane last month. He scored and assisted on his Spurs debut against Reading in a pre-season friendly, announcing himself to the fans in style. The teenager has already made quite an impression at White Hart Lane and remains keen to break into Thomas Frank’s first team in the upcoming season. After seeing plenty of minutes during the pre-season, Vuskovic, at least, hopes for that. Thomas Frank will have assessed the towering defender over the pre-season games and generally in training and must now decide whether to keep him in the squad for next season or loan him out. Vuskovic agrees personal terms with newly-promoted Bundesliga club It has been reported that Tottenham have decided to send Vuskovic out on loan. Hamburger SV is one of the clubs to have come forward to sign him. The newly-promoted Bundesliga club have been working hard to sign the teenager on loan. Vuskovic’s elder brother, Mario, who is currently with Hamburger SV, last month publicly said the 18-year-old would love to play for the German club. And now, according to a report from German newspaper Kicker, Hamburg SV have agreed personal terms with the Spurs defender for a loan move. They now have to agree terms with the North London club to seal the loan transfer, without a purchase option. The Hotspur Way officials are currently considering several loan offers for the highly-rated Croat, who is under contract until 2030. In North London, they want to carefully weigh where Vuskovic should take his next development step. Tottenham must sanction loan move for the defender Ideally, Vuskovic would love to stay at Tottenham and break into the first team under Frank. However, if Kicker’s report is to be believed, the Croatia international agreeing personal terms with Hamburg shows he wants to go out on loan and play regularly, something that looks bleak at Spurs owing to the presence of experienced centre-backs such as Micky Van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Kevin Danso and Ben Davies. Tottenham believe Vuskovic is a massive talent after what was a very successful loan spell with Westerlo. They were impressed with his development in the Belgium Pro League, and if our club officials get assurances from Hamburg that he will get ample opportunities to shine in the Bundesliga and develop his game, they must sanction Vuskovic’s temporary exit.

Lady Gaga's Heartbreak Over Ozzy Osbourne's Death Revealed After Lavish Gift To Sharon

Lady Gaga is reportedly "heartbroken" about the loss of Ozzy Osbourne, a big name in music who she said was one of her first big influences. The 76-year-old musician fought Parkinson's disease and other health problems for a long time. According to Radar Online, Gaga marked the loss by sending Sharon Osbourne, 72, a luxury bouquet of flowers worth several hundred dollars, the insider said. Gaga also honored the Prince of Darkness during her Mayhem Ball tour stop in San Francisco with a performance of "Crazy Train." Before leaving the stage, she told the crowd, "I'll miss you, Ozzy." The tribute carried extra weight for Gaga, who had shared her admiration for him years before her own rise to stardom. "She used to strip to Black Sabbath at her early shows," the source said, adding that she once told Ozzy the story and he "found it hilarious." A Public Tribute Hours After His Death Gaga's onstage tribute came July 22, hours after Ozzy's family confirmed his death in the UK. Fans at the Chase Center watched her and her dancers headbang offstage to "Crazy Train" while wearing shirts bearing his name. "I got goosebumps," one fan commented on a TikTok video from the show. Another wrote on Instagram, "Everyone is celebrating Ozzy's death the way he would have wanted... eventually turning up the volume and rocking out to Ozzy." Her grief follows years of mutual respect between her and the Osbourne family, despite a public clash with Sharon in 2013. The feud began after Sharon's daughter Kelly criticized Gaga's weight on E!'s "Fashion Police," prompting Gaga to write an open letter calling for more compassion. Sharon accused Gaga of hypocrisy for not telling her fans to stop sending threats to Kelly. From Feud to Reconciliation Tensions got calmer when Gaga later went on "The X Factor UK," where she hugged Sharon and gave Kelly a cake for her birthday. This public reconciliation made way for a nicer time between them in years to come. Gaga knew Ozzy in a personal and professional way. She met him and Sharon on a red carpet in 2014, at the MusiCares Person of the Year eventk. There, they hugged, took photos, and chatted. Ozzy reportedly left a big mark on Gaga's work. The "Poker Face" hitmaker would say the heavy metal icon was a big push behind her style, mixing her pop look with a love for hard rock and metal. His death hit her hard, the source shared. "She's been a huge fan of Ozzy and the Osbournes for years," the insider said. "This was personal for her."

King of New York: Pete Alonso breaks major Mets all-time record

Pete Alonso is now the New York Mets' all-time home run king. With his opposite-field, two-run home run in the bottom of the third inning against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night, Alonso clubbed the 253rd and 254th home runs of his Mets career, moving him into sole possession of first place on the team's all-time list. He moved two home runs ahead of the previous record-holder, Darryl Strawberry, who hit 252 home runs with the team between the 1983 and 1990 seasons. Here is a look at his record-setting home run. Later in the bottom of the sixth inning, Alonso hit his 254th home run: Along with the all-time Mets home run lead, Alonso is also the Mets' single-season home run leader with 53 home runs during the 2019 season. Strawberry congratulated Alonso on breaking his record: His home runs on Tuesday were his 27th and 28th of the season. It is a big deal for Alonso because there was some doubt this past offseason if he would have a chance to actually set this record. Even though he was close, the uncertainty around his future given his free-agent status created a lot of questions about where he would play. Ultimately, the Mets re-signed him to a two-year, $54 million contract that includes an opt-out clause following the 2025 season. That opt-out will again create some uncertainty about his future, but it is pretty clear Alonso still has a lot of power left in his bat. Whether he returns to the Mets or goes somewhere else, he will remain the franchise's greatest home run hitter for the foreseeable future. He is now on top of the record books for the single season and career.

Oklahoma QB denies sports gambling allegations after suspicious screenshots emerge

Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer has faced questions about some alleged screenshots from his Venmo account, and the school is reportedly investigating the situation. Screenshots and videos that were widely circulated on social media Monday claimed to show multiple Venmo transactions linked to Mateer that contained the phrase “sports gambling.” The two main transactions in question were on Nov. 20, 2022, which was when Mateer was a freshman at Washington State. The alleged transactions that referenced “sports gambling” were between Mateer and a Venmo account for Richard Roaten, who is believed to be one of Mateer’s former Washington State teammates. While some have questioned whether the screenshots could have been altered, there were also videos that appeared to show people actively scrolling through the account that is believed to belong to Mateer. According to a Tuesday report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Mateer has denied to Oklahoma officials that he has ever been involved with gambling. The school is still planning to investigate further, however. Mateer issued a statement on his X account denying being involved in sports gambling, explaining that the descriptions seen on his Venmo account are "inside jokes" with his friends. "The allegations that I once participated in sports gambling are false," Mateer wrote. "My previous Venmo descriptions did not accurately portray the transactions in question but were instead inside jokes between me and my friends. "I have never bet on sports. I understand the seriousness of the matter but recognize that, taken out of context, those Venmo descriptions suggest otherwise. I can assure my teammates, coaches, and officials at the NCAA that I have not engaged in any sports gambling." Oklahoma also issued a statement saying it has “no reason to believe” there is going to be an NCAA investigation. Rules prohibit student athletes or team staff from betting on any sports that have NCAA championships. One of the alleged screenshots connected to Mateer had a reference to “UCLA vs. USC” in addition to “sports gambling.” Penalties for an athlete who has been found to have gambled on prohibited sports can include a loss of eligibility. Mateer had his first full season as a starter last year at Washington State. He completed 64.6% of his passes for 3,139 yards and 29 touchdowns. He also rushed for 826 yards and 15 touchdowns. Mateer entered the transfer portal after last season as one of the top players available, and he had a disrespectful gesture when announcing his commitment to the Sooners.
