Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe has revealed that it would be a dream for him to manage his former club one day.

The 41-year-old was a fan-favourite at Tottenham during his time in North London, and it is no surprise that he wants to manage them in the future. The former England international clearly has a soft corner towards Spurs and it remains to be seen whether he gets an opportunity to manage them in future.

In an interview with Daily Mail, he revealed: “It would be amazing to manage Tottenham. And the crazy thing about football is you never know. An opportunity could be around the corner.”

Tottenham have recently appointed Ange Postecoglou as the club’s new manager after parting ways with Antonio Conte. The 58-year-old Australian manager has done an impressive job at the North London club so far and Tottenham are pushing for Champions League qualification.

The Australian manager has impressed with his free-flowing attacking football and his brave approach during games. His charismatic personality has been a major hit with the media and the fans as well. Tottenham will hope that he can guide them to trophies in the coming seasons.

The 58-year-old has brought in some exciting signings this season and the fans are clearly enjoying the football on offer. Tottenham will now need to add more consistency to their game and bring in the necessary depth to the squad at the end of the season.

They have an exciting project and a quality manager at the helm. There is no reason why they cannot compete for major trophies in the coming seasons.
