Former Arsenal player Ray Parlour has recommended that current Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta seek guidance from Arsene Wenger on winning the Premier League title, especially as we approach a crucial stage of the season.
With aspirations of securing the championship, Arsenal finds itself in contention among the top clubs in the league. However, a setback at the conclusion of 2023 saw the team relinquish valuable points, creating a challenging path to the top.
To enhance their chances of claiming the title, Arsenal must secure victories in their upcoming matches while also relying on competitors such as Liverpool and Manchester City to drop points. In light of these circumstances, Parlour suggests that Mikel Arteta could benefit from seeking advice and insights on navigating such crucial stages from Arsene Wenger.
Parlour thinks some tips from Wenger could help Arteta and said, as quoted by Star Sports:
“I’m sure if Mikel wanted to have a chat with Arsene Wenger then I’m sure he’d be up for it because he’s not that sort of man to turn him down.
“I’m sure if Mikel phoned him up, he’d help him as much as he could towards the end of the season.”
He added: “There’s a little bit of Arsene Wenger in Mikel Arteta. I’m sure there’s a little bit of Pep Guardiola too. You can see certain attributes in him.”

He’d be the perfect replacement for Maddison, and I think he’s a better player than Maddison.” Eze would be a class acquisition for Tottenham Eze is a proven commodity, someone who is ready to come in, replace Maddison and make an immediate impact at Tottenham. He has been one of the best creative talents in the top flight in recent years, whilst being a silky dribbler and ball progressor. The England international is also a fine set-piece taker and composed finisher in front of goal. Son was Tottenham’s highest paid player since Harry Kane departed two summers ago, with the South Korean international bagging £190,000 gross per week. With him gone now, Levy has the money to make Eze the highest earner if he moves to the club, but we doubt it will be above or in the region of £200,000 per week. The Tottenham chairman has always maintained a strict wage policy and will continue to do so, meaning Eze would significantly earn a lot here at N17 but not anywhere in the region of wages King predicts. As the playmaker is ready to join Frank’s forces, agreeing personal terms seemingly does not look like a problem with him.

For a team as serious about winning as the Warriors, it does not make sense to keep a younger player who could potentially disrupt the chemistry. When Green Bay Packers franchise quarterback Jordan Love is healthy and firing on all cylinders, he's proved to be one of the more exciting young signal-callers in the NFL. ESPN talking head Stephen A. Smith believes Love is an extremely talented quarterback, but he did challenge the former first-round pick when he was asked where the Packers will rank among the top teams in the NFC this season. Love can put up numbers, but Smith wants to see Green Bay's quarterback do it when it really matters. "When I look at the Green Bay Packers, Jordan Love is a stud, and I get that. The brother can play...in the regular season," Smith said on ESPN's "First Take" on Thursday. "I'm looking for him to show up in big moments." Smith believes the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions are all ahead of the Packers in the NFC because Love has yet to prove that he can be a consistent playoff talent. He threw for 272 yards and three touchdowns in his very first playoff appearance — a road win over the Dallas Cowboys — but in his last two playoff games, both losses, he's thrown for 406 yards and just two touchdowns compared to five interceptions. Three of those interceptions came last postseason in a wild-card loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. In order for the Packers to be contenders, Love has to prove that he can live up to the moment. It's a process for young quarterbacks, but he has all the pieces around him to be successful in 2025. Love is in the prime of his career, and there should be some high expectations on him as the Packers head into the 2025 season. General manager Brian Gutekunst has been clear that he wants the Packers to compete for championships, and they believe they have the quarterback to do it. That's why they gave Love a four-year $220 million contract extension heading into last season. Anyone can go out and have regular-season success. As such, Smith is right. Love has to start proving it in the playoffs.
