Bayern Munich interest in Manchester United star Rasmus Hojludn rubbished by Christian Falk

As Manchester United fans, it is hard to say that last season was heartbreaking. 15th place in the 2024/25 Premier League was nothing short of a nightmare. We all thought that at least there would be some joy in the Europa League, but the loss in the final against Tottenham Hotspur put an end to that hope. Ruben Amorim took over as coach mid-season, but the team still got knocked out of European competition for the new season.

Still, the club’s moves this summer have brought new hope to fans like us. Players like Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo were brought in, who have experience and quality. Along with this, young Diogo Leon was signed, who could become a big name in the future. However, the biggest headline was the arrival of Benjamin Sesko. He is a striker who will try to erase the memory of Rasmus Hojlund’s failure last season. These signings have lit the light in the hearts of fans again.

Hojlund’s broken trust and new turn

The upcoming 2025/26 season will start at home against Arsenal. This will not be just a match, but an opportunity for Ruben Amorim to prove his strategy and the new players to show what they have in store for us. However, here, Rasmus Hojlund’s story is different from all others. At one time, he was considered the face of our future, but the 22-year-old’s performance last season was so poor that even the fans got tired of supporting him.

Until some time ago, Bayern Munich’s name was associated with him. It seemed that by going there, the Dane could get a new life, but according to Christian Falk’s report, the German champions are no longer interested in him. This news was a big blow for the Danish international, and now the question is where Hojlund will end up after this summer window, and will he will be able to regain his lost edge? Manchester United are still trying out for a late departure for their 22-year-old striker.

From our point of view, he needs a club where there is less pressure and more playing time. Clubs like AC Milan in Serie A can give him the right environment, because he has already shone in that league with Atalanta, and the Dane will obviously have fond memories of that time before leaving for Old Trafford. There were reports earlier stating that Hojlund has opened the door for a move to AC Milan.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga could be a good option, but staying in the Premier League may be difficult for him, as the pace and intensity of the league have already shaken him up. It was no brainer that a club of the stature of Bayern won’t be looking for a striker who has had dismal numbers in the Premier League last season.

However, the transfer window is still open, and we think it would be best for his career if Manchester United sent him out on loan. As fans, we want the 22-year-old to shine again. The club are now on a new path with Sesko, Cunha and Mbeumo, and there is literally no space for the Dane, with Joshua Zirkzee also in the ranks.
