Lautaro Martinez and Benjamin Pavard will miss this weekend’s Serie A clash between Torino and Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They predict that Simone Inzaghi will make big changes to the lineup.

Inter Milan take on Torino in Serie A this Sunday.

And it is a match that comes immediately after a massive Champions League outing.

Inter overcame Barcelona in a dramatic semifinal second leg on Tuesday.

And that match was naturally a tremendously exhausting ordeal for the Nerazzurri squad.

Meanwhile, Inter will have the final against Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the month to think about as well.

Therefore, there is little question that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will rotate his squad extensively.

Lautaro & Pavard Out For Torino Vs Inter Clash – Extensive Squad Rotation Expected

The two biggest pieces of news as far as the Inter squad goes will be the absences of Lautaro Martinez and Benjamin Pavard.

Inter captain Martinez did manage to grit his teeth and start against Barcelona on Tuesday.

However, the 27-year-old was not able to see out that match. He has been dealing with some muscular fatigue over the last few weeks.

Therefore, Martinez will sit out Sunday’s match. He will take the opportunity to rest and recover physically.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Pavard was unable to feature on Tuesday due to an ankle injury. And the Frenchman will not return for Sunday’s match.

Apart from Martinez and Pavard being out, the Corriere report, Inzaghi is planning to rest a number of players who had put in a massive shift against Barcelona.

The newspaper’s complete predicted Inter starting eleven for Sunday’s match is as follows:

Inter Milan (3-5-2): Martinez; Bisseck, De Vrij, Carlos Augusto; Darmian, Zielinski, Asllani, Mkhitaryan, Zalewski; Arnautovic, Correa.
