Lautaro Martinez resumed full training on Wednesday and will likely return to the starting line-up in Saturday’s clash between Cagliari and Inter Milan.

According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, El Toro has returned to full fitness and will be at Cristian Chivu’s disposal this weekend.

Back pain forced Lautaro Martinez to leave the pitch against Juventus midway through the second half a fortnight ago.

Furthermore, the same problem prevented him from featuring in Inter’s Champions League opener against Ajax.

However, he came off the bench against Sassuolo on Monday, replacing Marcus Thuram.

Francesco Pio Esposito deputized for the 28-year-old against the Neroverdi.

But with Lautaro back to full fitness, the young striker will likely return to the bench this weekend.

Indeed, the Argentine megastar will partner up with Thuram in attack as Inter seek their second consecutive league win.

There’s no margin for error if Chivu’s men are to return in contention for the Scudetto.

For context, they already trail pacesetters Napoli by six points.
