Milan, Juventus and Napoli are all keeping a close eye on Girona and Spain Under-21 international Arnau Martinez for the January transfer window.
The Rossoneri revamped their squad over the summer to fit new coach Max Allegri’s tactical ideas, but the process was incomplete, including the inability to bring in a suitable striker.
Another important role is the right-back, as only Zachary Athekame arrived, despite the departure of Alex Jimenez, Kyle Walker, Emerson Royal and Alessandro Florenzi.
Tuttosport and Calciomercato.com point Milan towards Arnau Martinez, a product of the Barcelona and Girona youth academies who turned 22 in April.
His versatility is prized, being able to play as a right-back, a wing-back, or even a central defender.
The Spain Under-21 international has an eye for goal too, scoring nine and providing 18 assists in 169 appearances for Girona.
Milan face strong competition from Napoli and Juventus, who have also set their sights on the player.
The asking price is expected to be in the region of €15-20m, considering his contract runs to June 2027.
