Leny Yoro continues to be linked with moves away from Manchester United, amid speculation about his future at the club.
The 20-year-old has been a staple of United’s efforts since joining the club in 2024, making 70 appearances and scoring one goal.
Yoro’s work in possession in the Premier League stood out last season, too, with him creating four chances, 207 line-breaking passes, and having 873 successful passes.
His work defensively still has room to grow, however, with him making 159 defensive contributions last season (8.23 per game).
Whilst he did make 32 Premier League appearances last season, just 18 of those came from him starting with one clear point standing in the way of his development: consistently starting and playing games.
Two new options that could give him that chance have now emerged with Caught Offside reporting that both Arsenal and Paris Saint Germain hold an interest in the central defender.
Sources have informed the publication that PSG’s interest comes from his time in France whilst Arsenal could be a serious contender to watch in the race.
AC Milan have previously been linked with a move for the 20-year-old, too, with former United boss Ruben Amorim interested.
With competition from more experienced options such as Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez, the path to becoming a regular starter is not necessarily straightforward for Leny Yoro.
That is particularly important to consider given the 20-year-old’s need for consistent minutes at this stage of his development.
If Manchester United’s rumored defensive overhaul next summer brings in even more competition, Yoro may find himself in an even tougher battle for regular first-team football.
For Manchester United, therefore, the decision surrounding Yoro could be one of the most important they make in the coming transfer windows.
With Arsenal, PSG, and AC Milan all interested, there is no shortage of clubs offering the French international a route away from Old Trafford, but United must decide whether selling is in their best interests.
At 20 years old, there is still large amounts of time for the Frenchman to develop into a key part of Manchester United’s defence.
If opportunities continue to be limited, however, that development could be stagnant and the temptation to part ways could be increasingly hard for both Yoro and United to ignore.
