Arsenal have extended its long-standing partnership with video game company Konami, continuing a collaboration that has been in place for the past eight years. This relationship is one of several commercial deals that generate revenue for the club and reflect Arsenal’s ongoing efforts to expand its global presence through strategic brand alliances.

While EA Sports FC remains one of the most popular football games globally, Konami retains the status of Arsenal’s official video game partner. The Japanese company develops the eFootball series, which continues to attract a significant global player base. As part of the renewed agreement, Arsenal will continue to feature prominently within the game, enhancing the authenticity of the gameplay experience for supporters.

Konami Partnership Offers Exclusive In-Game Features

One of the key benefits of the extended partnership is the full integration of Arsenal’s official kits, player likenesses and club branding within eFootball. This ensures that fans of the game can enjoy a more realistic and immersive experience when selecting the Gunners as their team of choice.

Additionally, as reported by Arsenal Media, Martin Odegaard has been named a new Club Ambassador within eFootball. To mark this occasion, players of the game will be able to obtain a free Highlight: Martin Odegaard player card and Avatar between August 7 and August 13. This promotional campaign is designed to celebrate the partnership and strengthen the connection between Arsenal’s global fanbase and the gaming community.

Continued Commercial Growth Through Strategic Alliances

Commenting on the extension, Shinji Namekawa, European President of Konami Digital Entertainment B.V., stated, “We are proud to be extending our partnership with such an iconic club. Arsenal Football Club represents excellence on and off the pitch, and we are excited to continue this journey together.”

Arsenal’s continued collaboration with Konami is part of a wider strategy to enhance the club’s commercial profile and engage with fans around the world. Partnerships such as this not only contribute financially but also support the club’s aim of reaching new audiences through digital platforms and interactive entertainment.
