Arsenal have opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a potential move for South Korean attacker Kang-in Lee. The Premier League side have made direct contact to express their interest in the 24-year-old, but their priority is to bring him in on loan rather than on a permanent deal. The idea is to reduce financial risk while also assessing how well Lee adapts to English football. Arsenal have been linked with the player through the summer transfer window.

PSG’s Position On The Deal

According to Just Arsenal sources, PSG are not taking a hard stance on Lee’s future and are open to negotiations if a reasonable offer arrives. However, a loan move may not fully align with the French club’s expectations, meaning Arsenal would likely need to sweeten the deal with a purchase option or performance-related bonuses.

Although Lee is appreciated by PSG boss Luis Enrique and remains part of the squad plans, the South Korean international is understood to be keen to find a club where he can play more regularly. His main goal is to secure consistent minutes in the starting XI.

Would Lee Get Minutes At Arsenal?

Arsenal’s interest is notable, but given the competition for places in Mikel Arteta’s squad, it remains unclear whether Lee would enjoy significantly more game time in North London than he currently does in Paris. The Gunners have strengthened in several key areas this summer, leaving Arteta with one of the most competitive squads in recent years.

For Arsenal, a loan would represent a low-risk opportunity to assess Lee’s ability to adjust to the pace and physicality of the Premier League. For Lee, it could be the chance to showcase his talent on one of the biggest stages in world football.

What do you think, Gooners – would Kang-in Lee be a smart addition to Arsenal’s squad, or should the club focus their resources elsewhere?

Your thoughts appreciated in the comments.
