Arsenal’s Champions League campaign has been a dream so far, winning all four games, scoring 11 goals, and not conceding, leaving them with a 100% record. Here is our Arsenal predicted lineup for their UEFA Champions League match with Barcelona. This will look at recent team news and availability issues. A win for either will see their 100% record continue.
On Sunday, November 23, Arsenal destroyed Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 at the Emirates with an Eberechi Eze hat-trick, helping the Gunners move six points clear at the top of the Premier League. Mikel Arteta’s men have looked largely dominant since an early 1-0 defeat against Liverpool. The Gunners lined up against Spurs in their usual 4-3-3 formation, with David Raya starting in goal. Jurrien Timber, Piero Hincapie, William Saliba, and Riccardo Calafiori form the defence, with Hincapie filling in for the injured Gabriel.
In midfield, it was Eze, Martin Zubimendi, and Declan Rice dominating for Arteta’s team. Outwide, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard supported Mikel Merino in the central striking role.
In the pre-match press conference, Arteta gave the latest on a number of key players’ possible return from injury in time for this game:
“They are, and we’re going to have a meeting now to decide on Martin [Odegaard]. He was very close for the previous game, so we are hopeful that tomorrow he can be in the squad as well,” said the Gunners boss.
“Really good, both of them. In the next few days, they’re going to have a repeat scan to see how everything is and where we can push them for the weekend,” added Arteta regarding the imminent returns of Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres.
