Arsenal have several top players in their current squad, but the Gunners are not satisfied with all of their performances and are considering the sale of one big money signing.

The player in question is Viktor Gyokeres, with the Swede continuing to struggle for form at the Emirates since joining Arsenal last season.

Gyokeres was signed to score goals, but he has not found the net often enough. That has left Arsenal considering whether to allow him to leave if they receive the right offer.

Although they still regard him as an important member of the squad, Football Insider reports that the Gunners are beginning to believe it could be better to sell Gyokeres and sign another striker.

Arsenal consider Gyokeres exit

The striker has struggled to produce the level expected from him, and Arsenal are now considering making a change to their attacking options when the transfer window reopens.

The Gunners could even be prepared to sell Gyokeres at a loss if they decide that moving him on is the best option. His performances have not been strong enough to attract a major bid, making a significant financial return difficult.

Gunners could seek replacement

Another factor is his status as one of Arsenal’s top earners. If he leaves, the Gunners could replace him with another forward who is better suited to the way they play.

Arsenal still consider Gyokeres important, but his lack of goals has created doubts over his future. The club must decide whether he can improve or whether a change would benefit the squad.

For now, Gyokeres remains an Arsenal player, but the possibility of his departure is becoming more significant. If the Gunners act when the transfer window opens, they could look for a striker who can provide the goals they expected when signing the Swede.
