With five games left of their Premier League season, Arsenal will host Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium today.

Arsenal remain in the title race despite losing their previous two Premier League games, including a match against Manchester City last week. Arsenal is second in the league table with 70 points.

They are tied on points with Manchester City, who are first with 70 points. Manchester City and Arsenal are on a +37 goal difference, but Man City (66 goals) currently top the league due to having scored more goals than Arsenal (63 goals).

Last weekend, Arsenal lost 2-1 to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Kai Havertz scored for Arsenal, but goals from Rayan Cherki and Erling Haaland sealed the win for the home team.

Newcastle United are on a three-game losing streak in the league. In their previous match, Newcastle lost 2-1 to Bournemouth.

Newcastle United hosted Arsenal at St. James' Park earlier this season on September 28, 2026. Arsenal won the match 2-1 with a late winner from Gabriel.
