Arsenal wrap up their pre-season tour with a friendly against Real Betis at Dublin's Aviva Stadium on Wednesday before for their 2026-27 campaigns start.

This is the first-ever meeting between the two teams and it comes with several World Cup stars still unavailable, giving both managers another chance to assess their squads ahead of campaigns that include Champions League football.

Arsenal will once again be without a number of players who played at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, David Raya, Martin Zubimendi and Mikel Merino are all still on their extended summer break and have yet to return to the squad.

There are also a few injury concerns for the Gunners. William Saliba remains sidelined with a back injury, while Jurrien Timber did not travel to Dublin as he continues his recovery from a groin strain. Ben White recently returned from a long-term knee injury, but Arteta may decide to manage his workload carefully.

On the positive side, Gabriel Magalhães and Gabriel Martinelli are back in training and could make their first appearances of pre-season. Martin Ødegaard has also returned to the club, although he is still building up his fitness and is not expected to feature.

Arsenal's youngsters should once again have a big role to play. Max Dowman, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly are all expected to see plenty of action, and summer signing Christos Tzolis is likely to get more minutes as he continues to settle into the team.

Real Betis Team News

Real Betis also have a few absentees ahead of the trip to Dublin. Goalkeeper Diego Conde is dealing with a shoulder injury, Ismael Barea is still recovering from an ACL tear and winger Abde Ezzalzouli remains out with a knee problem.

Gonzalo Petit and Iker Losada have not travelled with the squad as the club continues to explore transfer options for both players.
