Pietro Comuzzo turned down the move to Al-Hilal for €35m, but now Atalanta could make the same offer to Fiorentina, claim Sky Sport Italia.

The centre-back had been approached by former Inter coach Simone Inzaghi to join him in the Saudi Pro League this week.

Although the salary and transfer fee were remarkably high, the player was not tempted by the idea of going to Al-Hilal.

Comuzzo price is now known to Atalanta

The fact that Fiorentina were ready to accept a €35m proposal gave Atalanta an idea, with Sky Sport Italia suggesting that they are preparing a similar package.

Considering they are in the Champions League and Serie A, Comuzzo might be more inclined to accept the switch to Atalanta.

It remains to be seen if La Dea are ready to pay the €30m plus €5m in add-ons, but this could be an idea for the final days of the transfer session.

Comuzzo only celebrated his 20th birthday in February and is a product of the Fiorentina youth academy who made his way up the levels to be a regular for the senior squad.

His contract with the Viola runs to June 2029 and was only recently extended.
