Atalanta send offer for Southampton winger Sulemana

Atalanta have sent an opening offer exceeding €17m for Kamaldeen Sulemana and are working to finalise the deal despite Southampton‘s request of €20m.

Atalanta have made their opening offer for Southampton winger Sulemana, sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me.

The 23-year-old has already played under Ivan Juric in the second part of the 2024-25 Premier League campaign.

Sources tell me that Atalanta’s offer is €17m plus bonuses, while Southampton’s request is set at €20m plus add-ons.

Atalanta remain in talks with the English club as they aim to finalise the deal.

Napoli unlikely to send Lookman bid

Atalanta haven’t yet received offers for Nigeria star Ademola Lookman.

Napoli have been linked with the latest CAF African Footballer of the Year, but have not sent an offer to sign him and are unlikely to do so in the coming weeks.

Sulemana scored two goals and provided three assists in 30 appearances with Southampton in the 2024-25 campaign, collecting over 1,000 on the pitch under Juric.
