Andy Diouf is reportedly in line for his first Serie A start as Inter Milan take on Atalanta in Bergamo this weekend.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the French midfielder could start on the right wing on Sunday.

Left to pick up the slack after a dismal Supercoppa Italiana defeat to Bologna, Cristian Chivu must rally his troops quickly.

Indeed, the Nerazzurri will drop the curtain on the calendar year with a high-stakes showdown at the Gewiss Stadium.

Diouf to Start in Atalanta vs Inter Milan Clash

Andy Diouf replaced underperforming Luis Henrique in the second half against Bologna on Friday and excelled.

Indeed, the Frenchman completed several progressive runs with the ball, showing no fear of taking responsibilities.

Meanwhile, Henrique struggled to make an impact yet again, making Chivu reconsider his options ahead of Sunday’s trip to Bergamo.

Despite faring reasonably well in recent matches, Diouf is still waiting for his first start in Serie A.

Indeed, the 22-year-old started Inter’s 5-1 rout of Venezia in the Coppa Italia earlier in December.
